About us

Hey,

 

We are the Scheenaard family (Bart, Yvon, Kate and Emma) In April 2022 we embarked on a great adventure. We have left The Netherlands behind us and moved to the domain 'La Batisse' in Saint-Laurent in the Lot-et-Garonne.

 

We both always had a soft spot for France. 

 

Based on Bart's wish to one day start a hotel and the Brabant (Dutch region in the south) cosiness that Yvon was born with, we really enjoy facilitating a gîte. No, that's not a hotel, but sometimes you have to start small to make it bigger.

In December 2022, we were rated 3*** by Tourisme Lot&Garonne.

​

In 2023 we expanded our family with Kay, our dog.
